The interest in becoming a heating  and air conditioner specialist was sparked in 1990.  At that time, Sean Henry began this endeavor by enrolling in Atlanta Area Technical College's HVAC program.  He completed the course training, and received the HVAC diploma. Thusly, he was qualified to  sit for the State of Georgia Warm Air Contractor's test.  Sean passed the Warm Air Contractor's test in 1992.

With the support of his family, Sean began to install and repair the heating and air units of his family and family friends.  During the process, he realized that not only did he enjoy his chosen  field, but he was a perfectionist and wanted to be the BEST and MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE HVAC contractor Georgia had ever seen.

With an unwavering deter-mination, Sean began to take continuing education courses.  Additionally, he worked as a technician with several larger companies (or more experienced sub-contractors) to gain the knowledge and expertise required to achieve his goal of becoming the best. In 1992, SPH HEATING and AIR, an independent company, was formed by Mr. Henry.  This allowed him the opportunity to bid on larger residential and commercial jobs, as bids for those jobs are awarded to companies that are bonded, insured, and licensed.

Eleven years after the creation of SPH Heating and Air, Mr. Henry changed the name of the company.  During the eleven year span, Mr. Henry had gained expertise in other areas of the field (boilers, chillers, air handlers, HVAC controls, pumps, etc.).  The company name needed to demonstrate that there was not a limitation on the type of services that could be provided.  Thus, SPH Heating and Air emerged and became the current H & A Mechanical.
